Successful Slovenian athletes expressed their support for the biggest sport event in the history of the Republic of Slovenia, while the fans can already buy daily tickets for this winter spectacle.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023 is supported by many Slovenian athletes, all wishing our competitors only the best. Anže Kopitar, two-time winner of the Stanley Cup with the Los Angeles Kings, is delighted that Planica, the valley of Nordic skiing, is hosting the World Championships. Planica has a very special place in the life of Primož Roglič, Olympic time trial champion in Tokyo, and three-time winner of La Vuelta, one of the leading cycling races: "When I was still ski jumping, it was in Planica where I won the title of Junior World Champion with my team." Tadej Pogačar, two-time winner of the Tour de France, hopes that he will be able to witness some of the competitions of our sportsmen and women. "Competing at the World Championships is a special privilege and reward for every athlete, it is this kind of competition that you think about for a long period of time and prepare for," said Janja Garnbret, Olympic champion in sport climbing in Tokyo.
