Ladies competed in the 10km classic race. Again the first name of the seven-member home team was Anamarija Lampič, who confirmed her good form with the second best achievement in a distance competition in her career. She was 12th, with just a two second lag behind the 10th place. Krista Parmakosi of Finland got her first World Cup win, Charlotte Kalla of Sweden ranked second (+3.6 sec) and Norwegian Heide Weng third (+33.5 sec).

It was a tough race but I had fun racing it. The profile didn't suit me with the long gradual hills. My plan was to start slower and then speed up. I tried my best and to push over the top of the hills. Its good to be on the podium with the other ladies today

It was a great race. It's nice to be back on World Cup. It was exciting to have the battle with Krista today and for sure I would like to have won but it's also nice to see her get her first win. I will go to Seiser Alm now to get ready for Korea.
Krista Parmakoski, FIN
We had a training camp here in the summer and when I saw the competition tracks here I said to my coach that I will have a good race in Planica this winter. It has happened and it feels great to finally have my first win. I wanted to get faster as the race went and when I saw that I was battling with Charlotte I really pushed hard over the final kilometer.
On the second day of FIS Cross-Country World Cup competition in Planica Krista Parmakoski from Finland won 10 km distance competition in classic technique. Anamarija Lampič was the best from home team in 12th place.
