Austrian tripple victory on Friday

Planica - Gregor Schlierenzauer, Thomas Morgenstern and Martin Koch made tripple victory on Friday’s competition in Planica. Best Slovenian ski flyer was Jurij Tepeš on 12th place.

Today in overcast weather came 9500 spectators in Planica. They could see really nice and long flights. The best in the end was Gregor Schlierenzauer from Austria who flew 226 meters in final round and bet leader after first round, Thomas Morgenstern. Morgi flew 224 meters in final and that was enough for second place. Martin Koch made 222.5 meters in final round which was enough for third place. Anders Bardal was fifth and took the price for Man of the day.

Slovenian dreams didn’t come true. Robert Kranjec was fourth after first round but then he fall in the final round at 207 meters. He was “only” 16. Today. The best Slovenian was Jurij Tepeš on 12. Place. This is his best result in World cup ever. Jernej Damjan took some points for 19. Place, while Peter Prevc (21.) and national champion Dejan Judež (25.) took the first points on flying hills.

Tomorrow there will be team event which will start at 9 a.m. with trial round.
