Kraft with another win, P. Prevc finishes season with 6th place

The big final of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Planica once again lived up to its promise. In the last individual competition of the season we saw just 30 of the season's best jumpers compete. Five Slovenians were qualified for the competition- Anže Lanišek, Jernej Damjan, Jurij Tepeš, Domen Prevc and Peter Prevc.

Stefan Kraft
of Austria was in the lead after the first round. He landed without a telemark at 250 metres. Peter Prevc was sixth (229,0 meters), Tepaš eight (231,5 m), Domen Prevc 17th (226,5 m), Damjan 24th (212,0 m) and Lanišek 25th (212,5 m).

Final round was cancelled due to strong wind conditions. This was Kraft's eight victory of the season. With Kamil Stoch of Poland finishing fifth, he secured large crystal globe and also won small crystal globe for the Ski Flying World Cup. Both globes were previously held by Peter Prevc who finished at 9th place (716 points) in the overall standings. His brother Domen finished at 6th place. He collected 963 points.

Stefan Kraft, Avstrija

"I want to get back the hill record from Kamil, but I couldn't. No big deal. This was great season! At the end of the flower ceremony, after I recieved the big Globe, I started to cry. First time in my life. Big thanks to my team and to competitors who made this season even more interesting and fun!"

Kamil Stoch, Poljska

"I'm very happy with overall second place. It's amazing. We become world champions and won the Nation cup. I flew over 250 meters, thats something I was looking for a long time. In Planica, we don't look for win, but for long flights. Every time here is a fantastic time, great atmosphere!"

Daniel Andre Tande, Norveška

"Season started well, better than it was at the end. My legs were tired, so was I. But beeing third overall is great, this was my second season in World Cup. Fantastic!"
