Mario Seidl defends overall win in Planica

Austrian Mario Seidl will defend 10 points advantage in FIS Summer Grand Prix overall standings infront of Finn Ilka Herola at last two stages of the summer season in Planica.

Including best two in overall summer grand prix standings, Mario Seidl and Ilka Herola, 48 athlets from 13 countries took the stage in Planica today with official training and provisional competition round. Seidl won the PCR with 127 meters and 134,7 points ahead of Maxime Laheurte of France (128.5 m / 128,1 p) and another Austrian David Pommer (123 m / 123,1 p). Herola jumped 111 meters and was on 23. place. Best Slovenian out of six was Vid Vrhovnik with 116.5 meters (112,4 p) and 16th place. 

Afterwards the athletes tested the cross-country tracks that will determine the seasons overall winner on Sunday. Tomorrows competition will start at 10.00 with the trial round. Entry to the competition is free of charge.
