Victory for Austria, third place for Slovenia

Planica – More than 21.000 spectators in Planica today saw great team competition, last in this season in World Cup. Victory gone to Austria ahead of Norway and Slovenia.

Planica – More than 21.000 spectators in Planica today saw great team competition, last in this season in World Cup. Victory gone to Austria ahead of Norway and Slovenia.

Austrian ski jumpers - Thomas Morgenstern, Andreas Kofler, Martin Koch and Gregor Schlierenzauer take smooth victory in today's competition. They had six flights over 210 meters and beat second Norway for more than 130 points. Best in Norwegian team was Anders Bardal who besides Johan Remen Evensen managed two flights over 200 meters. There were also Björn Einar Romören and Tom Hilde who made two good jumps to satisfied their coach Mika Kojonkoski. After the competition Mika take goodbye from Norwegian team. Third place today goes to Slovenia. For home country did great job Peter Prevc, Jernej Damjan (PB in second round - 220.5 meters), Jurij Tepeš and Robi Kranjec.

Tomorrow is in Planica the last competition in season. Trial round will start at 9 am.

Statements after today's competiton:

Andreas Kofler, Austria:

"I think it was really good competition for our team. Each of us showed two good jumps. But I must say that it was very hard, because Norway, Slovenia and Poland were really strong today. I'm happy that we won also this competition."

Tom Hilde, Norway:

"It's impossible to beat the Austrians. On each team competition they showed eight gread jumps and that's impossible to beat. We are doing to many mistakes and that is why there is difference to Austrians."

Robert Kranjec, Slovenia:

"Spirit in team is great. Today's third place is just what we need in front of the home crowd. Whit this result we showed that bronze medal in Oslo was not a suprise. I'm very glad that I made podium in Planica also with the team."
