Green light for the event


Planica, 4th of March 2009 - Mr. Sepp Gratzer, a representative of FIS, has visited the site of World Cup Ski-Jumping Finals in Planica and made an inspection of the ski-jumping hill and of all the elements connected to the event. He determined that the preparations are running according to the plan, that the snow levels are sufficient and "turned on the green light" for the biggest slovenian sporting festival, which is going to take place in Pod Poncami valley from 18th till 22nd of March. Programme will begin on wednesday with forerunners testing the hill. On thursday we expect more then 8000 primary school children from entire Slovenia. On friday, after the competition, there will be a numbers draw on site for the 15 of the best competitors in World Cup and on saturday and sunday competition will be accompanied with a rich entertainment programme on site and in Kranjska Gora.
