Planica has always been a place for historic events and this year it will be no different. Fans will not be only watching, cheering and celebrating, now they can very easily become a part of our great ski jumping sports community.

A week earlier before the official start of Planica, from 18th March until the end of the competition, anyone will be able to participate and bid for the digital artworks: the PLANICA NFT SKI JUMPERS COLLECTION 2022. NFTs are an exceptional collector's opportunity for the committed sports enthusiasts who will want a unique piece from our Planica 2022 collection.

Our aim with the collections is to help the sport and to give something back to the athletes. All funds raised during the auction will be donated back to the sport — 33% directly to the athletes as a reward, 33% to their national ski associations for development of young talents, and 33% to the organizing committee of Planica for development of the sport.

What are NFT collectibles?

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are the latest cryptocurrency phenomenon to go mainstream. In the simplest terms, NFTs transform digital works of art and other collectibles into one-of-a-kind, verifiable assets that are easy to trade on the blockchain. NFTs are unique and not mutually interchangeable, which means no two NFTs are alike.

The full collection of the ski jumpers will be revealed on March 11. Learn more on https://planicanft.com/en.
