Planica is ready to host FIS Cross-Country World Cup. On today's press conference members of organizing committee have talked about the preparations for the upcoming event, while our best racers revealed their expectations for competitions in front of home fans.

OC President Simon Jan: "Everything is ready in Planica, we could already see that last weekend in continental cup, which was organized at a high level. The OC has managed to prepare everything in a relatively short time, therefore we can be very satisfied with the work that has been done. It's nice to see our large team, who looks forward to Saturday and Sunday."

Secretary General Primož Finžgar: "Nice race and nice weather are waiting for us. Tickets are still available and space for visitors is ready. At the same time as the competitions we're also hosting World Snow Day, that all together promises to be a great event and a great promotion of the new Nordic centre. Almost 150 competitors from 21 countries registered for the competition, infrastructure is ready, since we've tested it on the COC Cup."

Slovenia's best sprinter Vesna Fabjan: "I'm completely calm before the race, although it means maybe even more to me than the Olympics in Sochi. Preparations for the event were quite similar. I'm just a bit worried because of the cold weather. Starts are a bit early, so we'll have to adapt to that, maybe we'll drink stronger coffee than usual. Sunday's race is going to be very demanding because of the track."
