From the start, the Slovenians were in it to win it. Domen Prevc showed the longest jump, landing at 240.5 metres. Before the last group in the final series, the Slovenes had a 21.6 point advantage, but then Anže Lanišek landed at 217 metres, which meant victory for Austria. Lovro Kos summed up his feelings in a statement.

Lovro Kos: I think we all expected more. We wanted to show more and fans expected more. Unfortunately, our neighbours were better today. Tomorrow, I want to show long flights and hope for a new personal best.

The Norwegian team was more satisfied with the outcome. Robert Johansson was delighted with the good weather and the competition.

Robert Johansson: We are satisfied with third place. It was an exciting competition and two teams were very close together. Weather was perfect and I am very happy that I returned to Planica because of this amazing crowd.
