Statements by the best three in 2008/2009 World Cup Season

Gregor Schlierenzauer, 1. place
The feeling after today's last flight is remarkable. I have a very long season after me, which was just fantastic. Everything was great and now I am very happy and proud. The atmosphere in our team is great, we won the Nations Cup, which is a reflection of a very good and hard work and good understanding between the boys. My goal is now school, till Summer Grand Prix.

Simon Ammann, 2. place
For me it was an excellent season in which I made 17 top 3 results and also show a very constant jumping. Before the season I switched the ski and the coach, which was a big step, but it has proven to be excellent. Today I had the longest jump of the season, which means to me a lot. For future I can say that the team will continue good work and I hope that we will get some young jumpers to make a strong team.

Wolfgang Loitzl, 3. place

For me it was simply the perfect season. The aim before the season was to get first win, but then I started winning series in Garmisch. I did not really expect this, it was incredible. Then came Liberec, where the goal was a medal, but I became World champion ... I'm really happy.
