Primož Peterka is ending his career

Planica - After today's qualifications in Planica Primož Peterka andounced that he will say goodbye to active skujumping. Primož is the best Slovenian ski jumper all time – he was two times overall World Cup winner.

Planica - After today's qualifications in Planica Primož Peterka andounced  that he will say goodbye to active skujumping. Primož is the best Slovenian ski jumper all time – he was two times overall World Cup winner.

His last jump will come in June or July in Kranj where there will be held the Continental cup. Farewell to Primož in press center today in Planica was very imotional. He came to welcome all the media and we can saw that he is still very popular and atractive for media, because he was there a long time for interviews. Now he is a father of three children, but in the past he gave everything to slovenian ski jumping. His biggest succes are two overall world cup tittles, bronze medal from Olympic games in Salt Lake City and in world championship in Oberstdorf. He was also the first Slovenian who flew over 200 meters in Kulm 1997. He has 15 victories in World Cup.

Here is what Primož said today…

"It is over. Now I already have some familiar with it. Certainly there will come some days when it will be very difficult to me. However, I've already gone through difficult times in my life and I will geto over this to. I must say I do not feel the facilitate. My life was ski jumping when I was 6 years old and so is now. I can just say it's really hard to me. I love ski jumping."

About life after active career skier jumper ...

"Ski jumping is my life. I don't know exactly what will I do in future, but I have a lot of experience in this sport so I want to be actively involved in some othew way."

The farewell jump ...

"Farewell jump will take place at the Continental Cup in Kranj, June or July this year. Until then, I'll definitely have to train, so that I will not look like a beginner in Kranj. This is fun to me and I can not wait when I can jump in Kranj on plastic. I think I'll be one of the first people who will jump on plastic this year."
